Conversations with Intention

"Have some coffee with me" is almost always the start of a conversation between my sisters and I...LOL. So here goes my mini convo with you all...

Do you ever just wake up and wonder, "sheesh I'm getting old and don't feel like I have done enough for me and/or for others?" Nope? Just me? Well, I have been feeling a lot like that since I turned 30. Three decades down and not much to show for it. Sure, I view myself as a good person, that treats others with kindness and would help a person in need at any given time. However, I have never stepped out of my comfort zone to do so.

Recently, a good friend of mine, who was also one of my older sister's best friends, passed away at the age of 34, after battling Lymphoma cancer. She was an amazing person with a heart of gold and had an entire life ahead of her. It was a total shock to my loved ones and me when this happened. I can't even imagine the emptiness her family is feeling at this very moment without her laughter and voice, which was so uplifting to so many. She inspired many people in her lifetime. Her passing was my inspiration and the push that I needed to get my blog started and share the things that make me smile! I am sure you are tired of hearing this but LIFE really is too short, so don't keep waiting and just start living today! Start working towards accomplishing your goals and reaching your full potential.

Through this blog, I am hoping to make someone 's day better through inspiration and/or words of encouragement. I know there are many blogs out there that have and still do that for me. It's nice to read that there are other women/mothers out there that have similar struggles as well as interests. It's empowering to hear and read the different ways women have achieved the things they want in life.

I'm completely obsessed with DIY everything, home decor and plants! It's almost like therapy for me. I am super excited to share some of my projects/thoughts/stories/helpful tips with you all! I am also very receptive to positive feedback or suggestions to improve my site moving forward. Therefore, please feel free to email me at any time! 😉

In loving memory of Vianela Alexis Fernandez 💕 1984-2018
